Thought you all may enjoy. Received this from a drawing teacher, Grace Burney, who received it from a student after showing them the work. What would you consider the comment this work makes?

Presentation Boards Example
In these boards you see pages for: 1. the title of the project, 2. the explanation of the project, 3. 3 words that condense the meaning, 4. a mood board, 5. sketches and 10 Logo Designs, 6. the chosen Logo, 7. business cards and letter head, 8. envelopes, 9. invites and tags, 10-12. 3 pages of celebrity endorsement and 13. one page for outdoor ad campaign.
The pages above are suggestions. You should all be focused on Color possibilities- so you will have 3-5 color schemes presented. You will include whatever pages are necessary for your project, each will be different- BUT, all should have these elements at least: Title page, Explanation of Project, Three Main Words, Mood Boards, Sketches!!! and then what ever else you need to show us the project.
I will grade this phase.
Be well, have fun!

Midterm
All, here is the diagram for how you will layer your master color studies.
***Remember to establish all the LOCAL colors first. Then make a slightly Lighter and Darker decision. Lastly you will make the Lightest and Darkest decisions.
1. This is a midterm assignment. It should reflect your knowledge of color at this point. We have learned to identify exact value ranges, how to mix specific colors and now how to layer them.
2. You have learned to analyze an image and create a composition that both moves up in and around in a purposeful manner. You will need to make a few thumbnails to show how you decided on this composition versus another.
3. You will also exhibit professional presentation skills for next weeks critique.
As to next weeks assignment you will have to post all nine assignments in one post LABELLED with your name by March 16th (this is a HARD deadline, anything posted after this date will not be considered in your grade) The images must be perfect scans or very good photos of the projects. If you need help, go to the 55 west 13th student computer lab to ask for help.
Here are the projects (basically in the order they were assigned):
1. Random patches of color painting (first assignment)
2. Harmony and Contrast found images Collages (Covering the color wheel terms.)
3. Achromatic Color Aid Scale (with holes punched)
4. Warm and Cool painted color scales (almost gray with no use of black)
5. One set of Painted Complementary Scales (IE: Blue and Orange with a Neutral in the middle.)
6. Achromatic Master Copy (1/2 Collage and 1/2 Paint)
7. Time of Day Studies.
8. One Relativity Pair (two different colors that appear very similar)
9. Current Layered Master studies.
